Aslina, Sauvignon Blanc, Stellenbosch, South Africa, 2022

This vibrant Sauvignon is made by pioneering black female South African winemaker Ntsiki Biyela. A blend of fruit from Stellenbosch and Elgin, it spends four months on lees, lending creaminess and depth to the palate. Plenty of passion fruit on the nose, alongside zesty lime, grapefruit and gooseberry. More tropical notes on the palate, interwoven with bright layers of citrus, mineral tones and hints of stone fruit on the long finish, with properly zingy acidity throughout.
