Majestic's 'Chosen by' range offers good-value expressions of classic styles – a step below the 'Definition' series in quality and interest, but featuring some decent everyday drinking wines. This sprightly Vinho Verde is refreshing but full of flavour, with a slight spritz and generous, tangy green apple juiciness. A touch less residual sugar (6g/L here) would make it even more appealing on a balmy evening. If there's a choice in store between the 2023 and 2024, I'd go for the younger vintage. Mix-six price: £8
