As soon as I smelled this white it took me straight to another place, in fact to where I wanted to be sipping this wine, outside in the crisp autumn air with the clear sky and the low sun. Ripe orchard fruit – pear, peach, yellow plum – hum with warmth, and a floral lift, like jasmine and honeysuckle, dances with grace. There's something quite unctuous about the feel of the wine in the mouth, and it's that which makes me want to be outside – drinking it makes you warm and glowy on the inside, while it's crisp and brisk out. A low twang of bitterness flows out onto the finish.
